What Happy Hours is
Happy Hours is a subscription service for time tracking, expense management, and invoicing, operated by 1948 Labs Inc. You will need an account to use it.
Using the service
Happy Hours is meant for your own business or work. You cannot resell it, reverse engineer it, or use it to build a competing product. Keep your login credentials secure — you are responsible for anything that happens on your account, and you will need to bring your own internet and device. If the service ever generates output using AI, review it before you rely on it.
Your data
Your data belongs to you. We use it to run the service and make it better, and we share it with the third-party services we rely on to operate — things like cloud hosting, SMS carriers, and AI providers. We back up your data regularly. If it is ever lost or corrupted, we will do our best to restore from backup — and that is the full extent of our liability for data loss. Our Privacy Policy has more detail on what we collect and how we use it.
Pricing and payment
Fees are billed monthly, per user, in advance. Taxes are your responsibility. Payments are processed by Stripe, so enabling payment processing means you are also agreeing to Stripe's terms. 1948 Labs is a financial technology company, not a bank — funds are held at Fifth Third Bank N.A and Evolve Bank and Trust (both FDIC members) through Stripe's banking partners.
Uptime and support
We aim for 99.0% monthly uptime, not counting scheduled maintenance. If we miss that goal in a given month, you get a 10% credit toward the fees you paid for that month. Support is available 24/7 by email at support@trackhappyhours.com.
Who owns what
We own the service, the software, and its design. You own your data. And if you send us feedback or feature ideas, we can use them however we like without any obligation.
Confidentiality
We treat each other's confidential information — like business plans, pricing, or your account data — as private, and do not share it beyond what is needed to run the service.
What we do not guarantee
We do not warrant that the service will be error-free or uninterrupted, and we are not liable for indirect losses — like lost revenue or business interruption — that come from using or not being able to use it. Our total liability is capped at the fees you paid us in the previous 12 months.
Cancelling
The agreement runs month-to-month and renews automatically. Either of us can end it with 30 days' notice. When it ends, your access stops immediately. If you would like a backup of your data, let us know within 10 days.
Legal details
These terms are governed by California law, and any disputes are handled in the state or federal courts in the Northern District of California. If any part of the terms is found unenforceable, the rest still applies. We are not liable for things beyond our reasonable control — natural disasters, denial-of-service attacks, government action, and the like. Only you and 1948 Labs Inc. can enforce these terms.
